Working environment and environment policy

As a company Carl C. A/S is depending on competent and committed employees. It is essential that the company can attract and especially retain these employees. Therefore it is important for Carl C. A/S to create a working environment based on mutual trust, cooperation and respect. This includes among other things:

We are all equal and have the same rights at work, whatever work we do and regardless of nationality, sex, age, religion and political belief.

We have zero tolerance for forced labour and child labour, corruption and bribery.

We make good terms for both remuneration, working hours, sick leave, parental leave and maternity.

The company and its employees are doing their absolute best to ensure that Carl C. A/S is a safe and secure workplace by always being up-to-date with health and safety at work. Among other things, this is done through a safety committee, which meets once a quarter, and continually takes a position on current issues in the company.

Following health at work, Carl C. A/S earmarkes the necessary resources to continuously make the investments needed to create the best working conditions for our employees and also keeping pollution to the surrounding nature at an absolute minimum. Within both areas we comply as a minimum with Danish legislation and are focusing on continually making further optimizations.

Examples:

In December 2008 Carl C. A/S invested in a new ventilation system which effectively cleans the air in our production 3 times an hour. In addition, the system is installed with filters that clean 99.9% of the air from our production halls, before it is sent out into the atmosphere.

Generally, all our waste products in the production are recycled, among other things through destruction of surplus materials.

Besides the annual visit from the Danish Working Environment Authority, Carl C. A/S annually makes an extra safety inspection in the company. This is done in cooperation with the company Avidenz, a licensed working environment consultancy who gives counselling and finds solutions within working environment and environment.

Many of our customers have high demands on company ethics and we respect them all. That holds, among others, Telenor's and Ericsson's Code of Conduct.

Suppliers

Carl C. A/S uses mainly Danish and Scandinavian suppliers. The company places emphasis on a limited number, but in return, stable suppliers who know the demands we place on them. Generally, we have full confidence in our suppliers, as they carry out activities in Denmark and Scandinavia, and all meet the current and future market and community requirements. Among other things, this implies:

Zero tolerance for forced labour and child labour, corruption and bribery.

That they comply with all rules concerning workers' rights and health and safety at work.

That they regularly make the necessary improvements in terms of environmental pollution - as a minimum within the existing legislation and focusing on further optimization that goes beyond the terms of the law.

That they ensure that their sub-suppliers also comply with these expectations.

Carl C. A/S attaches great importance to maintain continuous contact with all our suppliers and we make at least one annual visit to our major suppliers to ensure they live up to our company ethics.
