Carl C. A/S is certified according to the newest standards. Therefore we can deliver steel constructions to the whole world.

Quality control system

We are certified according to the standards of the quality control system; DS/EN ISO 3834-2. This quality control system contains the most comprehensive European quality demands to melt welding of metallic materials. The system also contains demands for the examination of contract and construction, ensuring the customers a product which complies with the specified demands and is delivered on time.

Furthermore, the quality control system ensures that Carl C. A/S employs a number of people with welding certificate and with the necessary knowledge and education to plan, carry out and monitor all welding tasks according to demands. Therefore, all welders in the company are certified and all staff working with the coordination of welding tasks has the necessary qualifications in order to fulfill all demands.

Joint European quality control system

The DS/EN ISO 3834 series is part of the European harmonization where the transition to Eurocodes (the joint calculation rules for EU building activities) replaces a number of European and national standards. This concerns the European EN 729 series, the German standard DIN 18800 Del 7 and the German system "Eignungnachweis" - all which are replaced by the new DS/EN 1090 and DS/EN ISO 3834 series.

Demands for the steel

Carl C. A/S has its own indoor storeroom for steel. Here we stock steel in dimensions used for standard tasks in the production. Through cooperation with steel rolling mills in both Denmark and abroad, the steel on stock is rolled with all the necessary qualities plus verified with a material certificate. Therefore, all steel used at Carl C. A/S is marked with a charge number ensuring that the qualifications and applications of every individual steel type are always reported.

Control

The control of all welding work is carried out both internally and by an external control department. The normal control methods are; visual judgment, magnetic powder testing and ultrasound test. The welding work is always documented with field reports. All actions in connection with quality, for example galvanizing measurements, are registered continuously ensuring that our products can always be delivered with thorough quality documentation.
